Nationwide Power Supply Restored Following Grid Failure
After a nationwide blackout caused by a complete collapse of Nigeria’s electricity grid in the early hours of September 14, 2023, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company has now confirmed the restoration of power supply.
The grid failure occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m., resulting in a significant disruption of power distribution services throughout the country.
Multiple sources within the power sector and electricity distribution companies independently verified this unfortunate incident.

However, in a recent statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Eko Disco officially announced that the national electricity grid had been successfully repaired, and power supply has been reinstated.
The statement reassured customers, saying, “Dear valued customer, kindly be informed that power supply has been restored from the grid. Thank you for your patience.”
Our correspondent in Abuja also confirmed that power supply has been restored in many parts of the city.
