Flood kills 10, displaces others in Adamawa
At least 10 people have been confirmed dead while scores of others displaced by flood in some parts of Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa state.
The Executive Secretary Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency ( ADSEMA), Dr. Suleiman Amin Muhammad, confirmed the incident to newsmen in a telephone interview on Friday.
Dr. Suleiman Amin, said that 10 persons were killed, while others displaced by flood in Jabbi Lamba town and environs, following Thursday, torrential rainfall recorded in the LGA and some parts of the state.

He told newsmen that 6 corpses have been recovered while 4 others are yet to be recovered.
He said that the natural disaster led to the hospitalisation of 3 kids after a building collapsed on them in the town.
The Executive Secretary disclosed that his agency has since deployed its Assessment Team in the affected areas.
He added that the agancy will reach out to the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) and RED to visit the affected communities so as to ascertain the level of damage caused by the flood.
