Melanie Joly, Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister, stated that the country’s embassy in Ukraine would reopen soon.
According to a report in the local press, Joly informed the Senate Foreign Affairs and International Trade Committee that she hoped to do so in the coming days or weeks.
In her words, “We just need to make sure that there is a secure environment for staff and also we’re looking at what our other Five Eyes colleagues and allies are doing.”
