Tribunal dismisses LP, Obi’s petition on 25% votes in FCT

The petition by the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi challenging the victory of Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the February 25 Presidential election bordering on 25% votes in FCT, has been dismissed by the Presidential Election Petitions Court.

The court ruled that FCT citizens don’t enjoy special privileges ahead of other States.

It was reported that the court had earlier ruled that the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, were found to have failed to explain how they received the majority of valid votes in the February 25 presidential election by the Presidential Election Petitions Court.
