President Buhari orders security agencies to rescue all captives across Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has issued new directives to security agencies to free all those held captive across the country and advance information gathering efforts.

This was disclosed to newsmen by the National Security Adviser, Babagana Munguno, After the National Security Council meeting on Thursday, which was led by President Buhari.

He stated that the President is dissatisfied with the current security scenario.

According to him, the recent attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train, which resulted in the deaths of several passengers and the kidnapping of a large number of others, was the final straw.

He added that insufficient technology and human intelligence, particularly from the wider community, has resulted in the ongoing battle, which, unless conquered, may become insurmountable.
