President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned three road projects in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, under Governor Nasir El-rufai’s Urban Renewal Programme.

Commissioning the projects on Thursday, the President lauded the State Governor for embarking on projects aimed at making Kaduna great again.

Buhari reiterated the Federal Government’s resolve to continue to initiate programmes that will impact ordinary Nigerians.

President Buhari, who urged residents of the area to show appreciation for the projects, also commended Alhaji Muhammed Isa, the Emir of Jama’a, for his consolidation of peace among the diverse ethnic and religious communities of the Emirate.

In his welcome address, the Emir appealed to President Buhari to use his exalted office in attracting more Federal Presence in Southern Kaduna, especially the reviving of the Kafanchan rail track and the siting of a permanent mobile base in Kafanchan.

Earlier, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said a total of 21 roads are to be constructed in Kafanchan under the first phase of the Kaduna State Urban Renewal program.

Governor El-Rufa’i also acknowledged the President’s investments in security in the area, noting in particular that the establishment of security outfits had paved the way for reduced attacks on people, stating categorically that Kafanchan is much safer today than it used to be.
