The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has called for collaboration among stakeholders to achieve national security and development.
The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, who was represented by Dr Ayodele Bakere, made the call at the 2024 Annual Civil Military Conference in Abuja.
The conference, organised by the Conference of Civil Societies and the Centre for Civil Military Co-operation (CIMICO) at the National Defence College, brought together stakeholders to discuss security challenges and solutions.
Abdullahi highlighted the importance of collaboration between government, private sector, civil societies, and academia to enhance national security and social economic development.
He stressed that information technology is critical in achieving these goals and that NITDA is committed to promoting digital transformation and innovation in Nigeria.
The event provided a platform for participants to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices in addressing security challenges.
The conference also emphasized the need for a whole-of-society approach to national security and development, recognizing that no single entity can achieve these goals alone.
