Man testing bulletproof charm shot dead in Bauchi

A 43-year-old man, Muhammadu Ali, was shot and killed while a bulletproof charm was being tested on him by a native doctor and three others in Bauchi State.

The Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Police Command, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in the State on Tuesday.

The deceased, a resident of Damaiwa village via Bursali ward Zaki Local Government Area of the state, was said to have gone to Damaiwa bush with the four people to test if a charm would protect him against gunshots.

Unfortunately, when a locally-made gun was shot at him to ascertain the efficacy of the charm, it failed and he was killed in the process.

Wakil said that when the police heard about the incident, they rushed to the scene and rushed the victim to the hospital, but he was certified dead by a doctor,

According to him, two of the suspects were arrested while others who escaped are being hunted by the police.
