By Matthew Eloyi – A housekeeper, Bose Joseph, on Wednesday appeared before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly drugging her employer and stole property worth N2.6 million.
Joseph of no fixed address is being tried before Magistrate Mrs M. I. Dan-Oni, for alleged stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Courage Ekhueorohan, told the court that Joseph committed the offence on January 12 at No. 65 Adisa Bashua St., Surulere, Lagos.

He said that the money and items valued at N2.6 million belonged to one Winifred Olayiwola, the complainant.
The prosecutor said that the offence was contrary to Section 280 (1) (b) and 2 (a) (b) and punishable under Section 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The court granted Joseph bail in the sum of N500,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
The magistrate adjourned the case until April 8, for mention. (NAN)
