Ex-federal prosecutor bags rule of law, constitutional democracy award
A former Federal Prosecutor in the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Labaran Magaji, on Sunday bagged an award for his contribution to the rule of law, law development and constitutional democracy in the country.
It was gathered that the award was bestowed on the legal icon by the National Association of Muslim Law Students (NAMLAS), Nasarawa State University, Keffi chapter, at a dinner held at the institution.
The President of the association, Nasir Abubakar said that the dinner was organised in honour of Magaji’s contributions and commitment to humanity as well as the fight against injustice.

Responding, Magaji (Matawallen Toto), who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial aspirant for Nasarawa West called on the students to be committed to their studies.
The legal luminary also enjoined the students to avoid all forms of social vices that could be detrimental to their future and capable of soiling the images of their respective families.

Meanwhile, Magaji has disbursed scholarships to 22 law students at the institution and doled out cash in support of law students who excelled in their academic pursuits by maintaining a 4.00 CGPA.
It was learned that the beneficiaries were 500 and 400 levels law undergraduates who each boast of a 4.00 CGPA.
Out of them, 10 who are in 500 level will each receive N50,000, while each of the remaining 17 who are in 400 level will receive N20,000.
