Bingham VC urges African universities to adopt entrepreneurship education

The Vice Chancellor of Bingham University,  Prof. William Qurix, has urged African universities to adopt entrepreneurship education as a means to adapt to the post-COVID-19 era.

.This is contained in a statement by the university’s Director of Public Affairs, Daburi Misal.

Speaking at the Second Global Annual Meeting of the Forum For Innovation in African Universities University of Wolverhampton, UK, highlighted some achievements made by Nigerian Universities, particularly the proposed review of curriculum by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in which entrepreneurship education was being emphasised.

.The conference which was hosted by the Centre for African Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CAEL), University of Wolverhampton brought together leaders of African Universities, academics, businesses and government officials from different parts of the world.

Qurix said that the theme of the conference was apt as it aligned with the emphasis on embedding entrepreneurship education in core curricula offered in the African Higher education sector to promote economic development.
