Ashton Kutcher Lucky To be Alive After Battling Rare Illness ‘Vasculitis’

Ashton Kutcher’s abilities to see, hear, and walk were all impacted by a rare ailment, and he now considers himself “fortunate to be alive.”

In an interview, the Two and a Half Men actor discussed his battle with vasculitis, a disorder that causes inflammation of the blood vessels.

Kutcher, 44, is questioned about where he gets his strength.

Kutcher answers, “Two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis that, like, knocked out my vision.

“It knocked out my hearing. It knocked out, like, all my equilibrium.”

He confirmed that it took him about a year to get back his abilities.

He said, “You don’t really appreciate it until it’s gone, until you go, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again.”

Overnight, Kutcher tweeted as well, attesting to his complete recovery after the incident.
This year, Kutcher, who first gained notoriety on the comedy sitcom That ’70s Show, has made headlines for his work with his wife Mila Kunis in support of Ukraine.

He and Kunis, who was born in western Ukraine, spoke via video chat in March with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who commended them for their multimillion-dollar efforts to raise money to aid refugees escaping the war-torn nation.
