Army flags off Exercise Enduring Peace 2023 in FCT

As part of the effort to ensure adequate security of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and to safeguard law-abiding citizens throughout the festive season and beyond, the Commander  Guards Brigade Col Adebisi Olusegun Onasanya has flagged off Exercise Enduring Peace 2023 at the Kuje Area Council of the FCT.

The exercise which was flagged off on Tuesday is aimed at ensuring the security and safety of law-abiding citizens living within the Federal Capital Territory and its environs throughout the Yuletide season and beyond.

While flagging off the exercise, the  Commander Guards, Col Adebisi Olusegun Onasanya noted that the brigade area of responsibility must never be allowed to become a safe haven for criminals and their sponsors who will stop at nothing than to destroy and cause havoc.

The Commander averred that the federal Capital Territory must remain secured, safe and well defended against any criminal groups adding that those who wished to indulge in criminal activities around the Brigade area of responsibility would be mercilessly dealt with.

Col Onasanya urged the troops to remain determined, focused and committed towards ensuring that the Kuje Area Council and other part of the Federal Capital Territory is not only safe but secured against all forms of criminality.

He commended the troops under the command and other sister security agencies as well as the Joint Vigilante task force for the synergy and further urged them not to rest on their oars until Abuja and its environs are totally free and secured.

The participating troops were drawn from units under the brigade, Nigerian police, National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies as well as the Nigerian Immigration and Road safety. Units Commanders as well as Staff officers of the Brigade were also in attendance.
