Several cheftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have mobilized support for the South West geographical zone to produce the president in the 2023 election.

At a meeting conducted at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, chieftains who are state and zonal coordinators in support of Senator Ibikunle Amosun bared their minds.

Ambassador Fatima Balla Abubakar voiced confidence in Amosun during her introductory remarks, predicting that he will win the party primaries on the 30th of this month.

She urged the coordinators not to rest on their laurels in achieving the goal, and she promised that if Amosun is elected in 2023, he will handle the country’s many problems.

She expressed hope that if Amosun’s presidential dream is realized, he will handle the country’s security concerns.

In her words, “We are dependent on you party members to campaign for candidate Ibikunle. Help us communicate with your delegates so that we can get their votes.

“Candidate Ibikunle is kind, brilliant and also a very good man. He is tested and trusted having had a wide range of experience at both the state and national level. He would proffer the solutions to the problems of Nigeria.

“He was governor for eight years. We saw peace and development in Ogun state. He will be a very good Presidential material for Nigeria. Let’s work assiduously to ensure his emergence as our president.”
