“The swift response played a significant role in preventing further loss of lives in the targeted areas.”

While recognizing the pivotal role of the military in resolving this grievous situation, Rev Chukwuma implored politicians to refrain from stoking passions for personal gains, emphasizing that finding a lasting solution to the crisis relies tremendously on the cooperation of influential leaders within the political front.

Dismayed by the amplification of falsified narratives on social media platforms, Rev Chukwuma regretted how these falsehoods exacerbated the severity of the clashes and magnified the number of precious lives lost.

While cautioning religious leaders about contributing to the escalation by exercising caution with their statements, The Reverend condemned the CAN Chairman of Mangu branch for indulging in the dangerous game of inflaming emotions and potentially putting innocent lives at risk.

Chukwuma further emphasised that the Nigerian military serves as a unifying front, holding our society together, and showcasing the efficacy around the country including the South East zone. Their strategic intervention he said, helped to dispel the sieging realities acting on IPOB’s sit-at-home directive, as evident in immense relief, evading the region.
