Meet the Most Beautiful Deaf Girl in Nigeria

The second edition of the Most Beautiful Deaf Girl In Nigeria (MBDGN) took place between the 11th and 17th of September, 2022 with Miss Delta – Queen Uke Oghenefejiro Praise emerging as the winner.

The week-long event involved several recreational and educational activities in the semblance of beauty pageantry anywhere in the world.

The event, which is the 2nd in the series, had the theme “Promoting Cultural Diversity Awareness” which aims at promoting advocacy.

MBDGN uses fashion, glamour, and beauty as tools to bring to public awareness issues bedevilling the Deaf community and at the same time projecting Deaf women and girls in a positive light to the world.

Dr Tolulope Oko-Igaire, Provost of the Nigerian Institute of Counseling, conceived the initial idea for the MBDGN pageant eight years ago and got it registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission along with a few deaf personalities.

The maiden edition was held in Lagos and Queen  Maria Okese from Delta State, emerged as the Most Beautiful Deaf Girl in Nigeria & she played Host to this 2nd edition which used fashion to promote the recognition and adoption of sign language as an official language to boost deaf rights and dignity.

The initiative seeks to promote access to healthcare services, Political inclusion, and Economic inclusion, amongst others for deaf women and girls.

While Queen Uke Oghenefejiro Praise from Delta State emerged as the winner of this year’s edition, Queen Odion Tessy Ogunseri from Edo State and Queen Chinenye Nwaokike Miracle from Anambra State emerged as first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

In a recent Instagram post, Bobrisky described UK men as “too broke” for his taste, noting that their tendency to share apartments and split bills is far from impressive.

“By the way, UK men are too broke, avoid them,” he wrote.
