Kogi Governor Commends INEC, Security Agencies for Peaceful Guber Election

In the ongoing gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Governor Alhaji Yayaha Bello commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful electoral process on Saturday morning.

Governor Bello, accompanied by his three wives – First Lady Barrister Aminat Bello, Rashidat Bello, and Hafisat Bello – arrived at his Agassa polling unit 11, Agassa Okeneba ward in Okene LGA around 09:15 to cast his vote.

Expressing satisfaction with the election’s conduct, Governor Bello stated that he had not received any negative reports from any quarter. He commended the efforts of INEC and security agencies in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere during the election.

In light of this, Governor Bello urged journalists to report verified information and to disregard any rumours that might circulate on social media platforms.

Emphasizing the importance of responsible journalism, he called on the media to play a constructive role in disseminating accurate and verified reports to the public.
