AKA Ends Long Term Beef With Burna Boy

The Award-winning South African rap mogul AKA has now reconciled and ended beef with the Nigerian Big star, Burna Boy. After a brief Interview with some SA music artist portals, We have decided to bring you all the things you might have missed earlier about the Beef. Read Carefully below.

In July 2019, the rapper tweeted in an angry haze after South Africa lost to Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. The tweets came back to roost after Nigerian artist, YCeeused the tweets as a stick to beat AKA with. Although YCee has since backtracked on his statements, he appeared to accuse AKA of xenophobia yesterday.

But before then, things were once rosy between the pair. After Burna Boy released his first album, L.I.F.Eunder Aristokrat Records in 2013, he was major. As he kept making waves with singles like ‘Don Gorgon’ in 2014, he became an obsession in South Africa.

One of the first people to accept him was a rapper, AKA. For a moment, they were inseparable. At a point, Nigerians would even joke that Burna Boy had become South African

“It was never about anything personal, I just don’t like people talking sh*t about my country,” he said. “It’s that simple you know, people were talking about there is a genocide in South Africa, the likes of Tiwa Savage and people talking about, they’re killing our people, it was bullsh*t, it was a cap,” the SA rap star said.

Taking some South African music artists’ documentaries, the rapper AKA further revealed that they are not on talking terms but he is a fan of the Grammy award winner, as he listens to some of his songs.

“We hadn’t spoken in a bit before that either, but you know this thing of like artists have to be like best friends is very weird to me,” he said. “We don’t have to be besties, congratulations, wish him all the best, Grammy winner, amazing, love his music, that’s cool man. I’m just a fan of Burna Boy, I might not be fam of him right now, but at least I can still be a fan, it’s cool,” he added.

It’s blatant that it’s a peace-making era for Supa Mega, as he’s unbothered about Cassper Nyovest, though, Cassper recently revealed that he’s still beefing AKA and it’s only a boxing match that can restore the peace.

Burna Boy stunned South Africa

Just like most West African/Nigerian celebrities, Burna Boy has toured the world, shutting down festivals and shows and now he replicates that amazing feat in Mzansi as he completely filled the Delicious Festival 2022 feast which was hosted by DStv.

Burna Boy might not have had a good relationship with South Africa and South Africans, but there is no denying that this country is where the majority of his fans domicile. Showing his true love for the country and confirming he’s settled all beef with AKA, the star artist gave his best performance by performing several of his biggest hits including All Eyes on Me, a collaborative single he recorded with AKA some six years ago.
