Police May Exhume Mohbad’s Corpse for Autopsy – PPRO
The Lagos State Police Command has revealed that the body of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, could be exhumed for an autopsy if deemed necessary to assist in determining the cause of his death.
Mohbad, aged 27, passed away on Tuesday under circumstances that have sparked controversy.
During an Instagram live session with media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, emphasized the police’s commitment to investigating the cause of Mohbad’s death.
Previously, Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, had announced that the police would conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise.
In reference to the Force PRO’s statement, SP Hundeyin stated, “The Force PRO issued a statement this evening (Thursday) saying that investigation will commence and that’s what we’re going to do. If need be, the body will be exhumed. It’s not too late. The body can be exhumed and an autopsy can be performed.”

He continued, “And the statement also states that people should bring whatever information they have to the commissioner of police in Lagos State. That’s because we don’t want to do hierarchy anymore. Take it to Force CID, and bring it to Lagos Command. It doesn’t matter. We’re going to harmonize it within ourselves and ensure that justice is done.”
This development comes in the wake of a document surfacing, wherein the late singer had reported a case involving alleged threats to his life, malicious damage, assault, oppression, and other offences against a music promoter, Samson Balogun, popularly known as Sam Larry, and others.
This petition was submitted to the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State, on June 27, 2023.
In the petition, Mohbad detailed an incident on June 25, 2023, during a video shoot where Sam Larry and a group of about fifteen individuals allegedly armed with dangerous weapons stormed the venue, disrupted the shoot, damaged equipment worth over N5 million, and assaulted him. He narrowly escaped with injuries.
The late singer asserted in the petition that the assailants claimed to work for Oba Elegushi and had been instructed to deal with him for undisclosed reasons. He expressed fears for his life and appealed for intervention.
The police have promised a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and the events leading up to it.

“I Have Social Anxiety” — BBNaija Housemate Dede Opens Up Amid Criticism

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Dede, has revealed her struggle with social anxiety following criticisms from fellow contestants who described her as a “snub.”
Dede’s reserved nature has sparked controversy in the house, especially her refusal to hug male housemates, which some interpreted as unfriendly or aloof.
In a candid conversation with fellow housemate Koyin, Dede opened up about her mental health challenge.
“Do you have social anxiety?” she asked Koyin.
Koyin replied, “No, do you?”
“Yes, I do,” Dede answered.
Koyin then reassured her not to be overly concerned about how others perceive her, adding that “such is life.”
During her first diary session with Biggie, Dede had described herself as an introvert who “doesn’t like people.” She also offered clarity on her decision not to hug other housemates, saying it stemmed from the fact that she didn’t know them before the show.
Dede’s admission has since sparked conversations on social media about mental health awareness and the importance of respecting personal boundaries.

“Davido Is Nigeria’s Most Influential – Manager Asa Asika Insists”

Asa Asika, manager of Afrobeats superstar Davido, has declared that the singer is the most influential person in Nigeria.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Zeph podcast, the renowned talent manager stood by his belief, despite ongoing debates and differing opinions in the entertainment industry and among fans.
“Davido is mad influential. I don’t care what anybody says, I think Davido is the most influential person in Nigeria. I have seen it firsthand,” Asika said.
Davido, the head of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), is currently the most followed Nigerian across major social media platforms, a metric often cited by fans to support claims of his dominance in the digital space.
However, the debate over who holds the most real-world and online influence among Nigeria’s top music exports—Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy—has remained a hot topic for years, with each artiste commanding a fiercely loyal fanbase.
Asika’s statement is expected to reignite the conversation, particularly among fans of the three Afrobeats giants.
